Mary Pietrusko

Mary Pietrusko is an Operations Manager at J-PAL Global where she sits on the Global Initiatives Team (GIT). In this role, she directly supports initiative teams by managing the grant management system, integrating AI and automation into initiative processes, and ensuring strategic alignment with J-PAL and MIT standards. As a member of the Policy and Communications group, Mary focuses on the operational success of internal training for staff members, manages the team’s internal knowledge base and shared resources, and facilitates US and Cambridge-based events. Mary previously provided executive administrative support to J-PAL faculty directors Abhijit Banerjee and Benjamin Olken.

Prior to joining J-PAL, she worked as the Donor Relations Coordinator at Conservation Law Foundation, Program Coordinator at Shared Value Initiative, and she held multiple event management, project management, and senior administrative support roles at FSG, a social impact consulting firm.

Mary holds an MSc in Ecological Economics from the University of Leeds and an MLA in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Harvard Extension School.
