Emily Sylvia is a Policy Associate at J-PAL, where she supports both the Firms and Labor Markets sectors. In this position, she writes policy publications and conducts policy outreach for evidence dissemination.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2018, she was a Fulbright Public Policy Fellow in Guatemala, where she conducted a landscape analysis of ICT in the delivery of agricultural extension services. She also served as a Peace Corps Response Volunteer in the western highlands of Guatemala.
Emily holds a Master of Public Administration in Development Practice from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a BS in International Development from the University of Arizona.
