Jessica Goldberg is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland. Her research focuses on the ways that people in developing countries earn, spend, and save money. She is particularly interested in how financial market imperfections, behavioral factors, or other obstacles to borrowing and saving affect decisions about working and consuming. Jessica holds a PhD from the University of Michigan.
Jessica has served on the review boards of J-PAL's Invited Researcher Selection Committee and Governance Initiative. She has also served as a mentor to J-PAL regional scholars and lectured at J-PAL training events.
